Love the Detectorists - absolutely favourite thing on telly from last couple of years. Such laid back and subtle comedy. Only discovered there was a new series when I noticed my box had helpfully recorded it withuot me knowing. What a beautiful and unusual ending to the first episode.

Great idea but I was a bit disappointed with the final scene - shrinking trees to a size they would have been 20 years or so ago didn't portray 'time travel' across the centuries. Super programme, mind.

This programme is without question the highlight of my week,

A beautifully crafted, written, acted and filmed gem. All the pieces are falling into place and I have my hopes hanging on a perfect ending to this fantasic and whimsical journey with Andy and Lance next Wednesday.
