BHA (23rd) travel to Derby (1st), next Saturday finding themselves in the relegation zone within the first time since back in the second run of the football league pyramid in our 4th year. It is difficult to be positive about this fixture, given Derby's lofty position & our lowly place, however, The Rams are not invincible. They lost to Leeds on Saturday & if they fail to beat us could slip down to 5th. A win is crucial for the Seagulls to lift us out of the bottom three & potentially up to 18th. We could slip down to 23rd though.
Fingers crossed, we will have a new manager & assistant by Saturday. With a win ratio of only 21.7% this season 5 in 23 games & 3 league wins out of 32 over his last two clubs, it is surely a question of when, not if. Only Case, 18.97% win ratio (11/53) & Wood 15.38% (2/13) are statistically worse managers than the failing Finn in the modern era.
The Seagulls owe their fans a decent performance on Saturday. Derby turned us over all 4 times, last campaign, with the final humiliation that 4-1 thumping at Pride Park in the playoffs. Derby have lost only one league game at home to Wigan, but we will need to tighten up our defence, given that the Rams average more than 2 goals a game at home.
Looking through the archives, we have won at Pride Park. The last time a CMS goal back in November 2011, but the Rams have the upper hand, 13 wins, 4 draws & 19 defeats.
As for the Score Predictor 47 scores for 2-1 (though regrettably all for an Albion win). Without their rose tinted glasses on 7 pollsters correctly predicted the 2-1 defeat. With only 3 league wins all season, what were the rest of us thinking!!!
