i see ONCE we beat Man City at home we have a home tie against DERBY in Carling Cup.

gutted its at home as i cannot f***ing stand our shit pit of a temporary home.......but surely WHEN we get to play them, Derby at home is a very winnable match!!

could be 4th round for us for the first time in how many years....!!

There is no reason why we can't beat Man City. They will be fielding a weakened side. I would EXPECT us to smash Derby as they have lost the winning ingredient. If we were to get that far and if we were to beat Derby, then I think Mr Jewell would be inline for a P45. When was the last time we got a manager sacked

I have had the same argument with my sons who go to away games but wont go to Withdean. Much as I try they will not go even when i explain that they are contributing absolutley nothing to the club they profess to love. Its a strange world. The one point is they dont expect or want tickets for the Man City game, they are convinced it will be on sky. We could nick a 1 - 0 win at home then the Derby tie is very winnable. A draw at Withdean and we will get slaughtered away.

I didn't say anything about buying replica kit to be a real fan, I just cannot understand why someone would choose not to go to home games just because we don't play at a 'decent' stadium.

Are you telling me that you have never been to an Albion game at Withdean by choice even though you could if you wanted to?

ok i've read that last paragraph 12 times now and cant make it out.

however, yes i've been to withdean shit loads of times (shit loads of times TOO MANY i will add) and i have hated 99% of the games - i've done league, cup, sat, week nights etc etc.

loved the game against Swindon in play offs, and a few others, but even Palace at home when we lost 3-2 in injury time (2005 i think) - the atmosphere was utter bollox - compared to the reverse game at selhurst a few weeks beforehand when it was electric.

dont tare me with your generisation brush that just because i CHOOSE not to go to home gaames that i am not a real fan - what bollox!

I choose not to go as its a shit ground, with no atmosphere and prices are sky high - i would rather spend that money on my kids.....then go to away games with a group of mates, sing all day, get on the cans as soon as we get on the mini bus @ silly o'clock in the morning, drink all afternoon in a local boozer, go to the game and have a cracking time.
