Not worried about losing him providing we spend this money on two quality CB's and at least one winger.
I'd be worried then

There's some absolute garbage being spouted about Dunk on here. We have a fantastic young defender on our books who will continue to mature and iron out those silly mistakes. Last year we saw him come on leaps and bounds and cement a regular place. On top of that he scored a load of goals last year which is quite rare for a center half.
Do people not realize he is still young and learning? I don't think Dunk is overrated at all. Infact he is completely underrated. To many people want to sell him and fail to see he is only 23.
Unless a silly offer of 6 -7 million is being offered we should stick two fingers up at other Championship clubs.
Dunk is a key player for us and it's about time the club does everything it can to keep hold of our young stars. We don't need to sell and shouldn't.

Baldock was not a waste of money. He's a quality finisher and would score loads if played in his correct position
But it's not about his ability, is it? I think buying a player and not using him in his correct position is a good definition of a waste of money. Extreme example but if someone bought Messi for 100 million and put him in goal, would everyone talk about how shit a goalie he is or that the club (probably Liverpool) was wasting their money?
A small dwarvish striker is expected to me more than just a target man and play as a second striker, so I do not go along with playing to Baldock strengths (which we have hardly seen anyway). His does not seem to have the pace to be a real threat to the opposition. I quite like his defending when he loses the ball.
Meanwhile, I heard a rumour yesterday (Fulham end) that Fulham expect to buy Dunk for £5 million this afternoon. Translated, I think just means they have put in an increased bid.
If we are really stuck for a striker, it would be easiest to play Dunk up there. I wonder if Rohan Ince can play covering central defender? That would make for a formidable pairing if Ince has got the ability?
I've not seen enough of Baldock to make any sort of judgement on his value - 21 appearances last season, most of which were out of position. However, I have seen enough of Rohan Ince's aerial ability over the past 2 seasons to know that he is a far far better defensive midfielder than he ever will be centre back.A small dwarvish striker is expected to me more than just a target man and play as a second striker, so I do not go along with playing to Baldock strengths (which we have hardly seen anyway). Agreed, but 4-5 million is a lot of money for a Centre Half and in my opinion is a position you can replace with quality for considerably less.
Replacing attacking players is a lot harder, and it may well free up the bit of extra cash we need to get those deals done.
this isnt the first time you have mentioned this but , to date, you still haven't named 1 player, who can replace dunk, if he goes. And you think its an easy position to fill.........
waiting.........................................
Marshy's not a professional scout; he's an IT geek. I would expect that the people that are paid by the club to do this have a long list of potential replacements from all over Europe, for whom they could probably pay the transfer fee and wages for 4 years for £4m.

Indeed, almost sounds like you know me worryingly.....

Looks like he's off. Anyone fancy our chances against Forest with Greer and Rea at centre back?
