Are these still a thing? I’ve just seen an advert for denture adhesive which surely have a very small audience.

I can remember parents and grandparents having them but surely with dental hygiene these days there can’t be many left?

A couple of guys were golfing when one mentioned that he was going to a dentist for a new set of dentures the next morning.

His elderly matw remarked that he too, had gone to the very same dentist two years before.

"Is that so?" asked the first old guy. "Did he do a good job?"
The second oldster replied, "Well, let me put it this way, I was on the golf course last week when a guy on the next fairway hooked a shot. The ball must have been going at least 100 mph when it slammed me right in the nuts."

The first old guy was confused and asked, "What the hell does that have to do with your dentures?"

"It was the first time in two years my dentures didn't hurt!"

Our local denture factory is going through some teething problems.

Band 3 on NHS so £282.20 against £1000+ for an implant.

I would image that on cost many people still go for dentures.

I'm wondering whether there is anything in the UK psyche equivalent to the denture barrier which, once crossed, is erased from all memory? ???

Probably much more than £1000 a tooth...
