As is Husband beating, have a very good mate whose 2nd wife knocked the s*** out of him during their marriage, when it all came out he naturally received a lot of support from most of his friends group but some now, ex friends, virtually mocked him for letting it happen.

Thats the thing, is happens both ways.
One highlighted more than the other, I guess with the blokes getting abused, it's more of a shame, embarrassment or taboo, which is wrong.
