Delaying tactics

as delighted as i am, i can't help thinking further delays are likely,
what tactics are the nimby's will use and who will have to pay for it

They can only appeal against HOW the decision is made, they will have to pay up front for it, and if they lose will also have to pay all our costs. Lewes have all ready stated that they will not appeal, so that only leaves the NIMBYS, who i doubt will have the £2million or so needed.

The judicial review should not delay anything really. The club have stated that they are not planning to put a shovel in the soil until this time next year.

They will have a devil of a job finding any discrepencies in how the decision was made, and whether or not it was lawful.

The official site says that there is a lot of work to be done such as tieing up agreements, tender process documents, sorting out funding from banks and grants etc. So a lot of paperwork to filled out.

Should be lodge an appeal. After that lodged appeal, who knows?
But it will cost them dearly - £2M+?

Would any judicial review actually involve the club though. Surely it would be the NIMBYs versus Her Majesty's Government, I wonder who could afford the best lawyers for that one?

I must say, I find it terribly amusing that even if any judicial review goes against the Government that they can then just overrule it. Is that right?

I thought I heard on here it has started already. The buildings had to come down regardless of whether the stadium was built or not. Its just now the club will pay part of the cost.

It was posted on here a couple of weeks ago that the uni building work had already started. Don't know how true that is but great news if it is.
