Whilst I do like hash browns I elected for bubble instead.

Nooooo! hash browns are an American import, and should have no place on the full English breakfast.

in fairness, American breakfasts are an export from here. We give our Celtic cousins a few tweaks allowed, so why not the yanks? You'd be hard hearted to moan there was a tattie scone or some white pudding on a fry up in Glasgow or Belfast.
