Dear Mr Adams, PLEASE put a keeper on the bench tomorrow.

Don't ask me why, because I don't know, but I just think that tomorrow, we shall need a keeper on the bench.

Its just a feeling, and probably rubbish, but for some reason I think FDM will NOT finish the game.

Please play it safe Mickey, and put Sully on the bench. We really don't need FIVE spare midfielders anyway.

I tend to agree - I think we have been tempting fate for far too long. I was amazed that we got through last season without using a sub keeper.

[edit] Having said that, I would like to see Cox in goal, just for comedy value.

adams hardly ever had a sub keeper on the bench in his last spell, cant see why it will be any different this time around

still, it does make for a flurry of excitement whenever kuipers gets a talking to from the ref or goes down injured

Michel came quite close to getting himself sent off a couple of times last year, and had he been really unlucky, could have gone at Southend too.

And, you only had to see the Orient game, when their keeper hurt himself, just by landing badly, how easily something untoward could happen.

was it just three subs then though?

Either way, I just do not accept that you can't adequately cover all outfield positions with four of the subs.

nope - its been five since the first season at withdean

i agree though - there are FOUR main positions on a football pitch, which easily fits into FIVE subs

The 3 sub era ended at the end of our second season at Gillingham so we did play some football under Adams when he could only have 3 subs.

With the League Cup and FA Cup being 7 subs this season it won't be long before Championship and below follow the rest of football and we have 7 subs for all games and then there really will be no excuse for not having a keeper on the bench.

Exactly.

1. Keeper [sully]
2. left footed defender / midfielder
3. right footed defender / midfielder
4. wide midfielder
5. striker

Indeed, but the fact we don't have one, doesn't alter the fact that we should have a keeper. If anything, it makes not having a keeper even more ridiculous. Like I say we really don't need five spare midfielders.

Kuipers will get sent off for time wasting this season, then it is time for Tommy Fraser to don the gloves

Or for the exaggerated high knee when jumping, someone will get hit by it and he will get sent off.
great keeper but he is fool for doing it

I have no problem with having no sub keeper on the bench if you have a vast array of options that would otherwise not be in the squad but if you have Virgo playing midfield, you don't need Lynch, Fraser and El Abd on the bench.

At the moment we don't have 2 different strikers and/or 2 attacking midfielders on the bench who can positively change a game anyway so no point risking letting loads in by not having a sub keeper.
