i thought dean cox was playing really well today he got back and tackled as well

i think him having that rest has made him a better player whichj is great for our promotion push

i know i said i hated him but with that performance today if cox keeps playing like that then hes gooing to be great

i hope we keep this run going till the end of the season

Personally thought Cox was very good today and they worried about him.

It wasn't a rest. Disciplinary reasons which for me sugests that, considering he's done that twice this season, he's a Leon Knight esq character which isn't good for morale on a playoff push is it? Fair play to him if he can sort his attitude out as is clearly a great talent.

I said the other day on another thread that I feel this is Coxy's chance to prove his worth again.

I firmly believe he will take the chance. He is the type of player who could really make a difference in our playoff chase.

Doncaster couldn't handle him today, well on the way to being back to his best!

Well played son!

Only thing he did wrong today was when he didn't have a shot in second half and chose to pass instead.

I thaught that he was one of our worse players yesterday! He had far to many passes that went nowhere. his tracking back was good, but I wouldnt say he had a good game.

He can shoot from distance, but seems to have been discouraged from trying.... or perhaps is afraid of missing?

When defences are packed like Doncaster packed theirs, I'd say a midfielder with a decent long-range shot is a necessity. We could get rebounds from long shots, and running with the ball into a pack is tough - unless we get a penalty like yesterday's.

Come on Wilkins - let's practice shots from distance.

It's still a rest because he didn't play two games. ??? I've thought for a little while he could do with a break...

And he may not be a perfect good two shoes but look at his own body language and the way he interacts with his team mates (and the staff) on the pitch, he's clearly no Knight.

I see where you are coming from but having Neon Light in our team didn't harm our play-off chances last time did it.

I thought he did okay but wouldn't go overboard. What I would say is that playing on the right and then later, at the head of the diamond are much more natural positions for him than as a right-footed left winger.

With him on the right and Westlake on the left we look a much more balanced side than we were previously.

I noticed Westlake ....on the right.

He did play well, but there were two occasions when he had clear sight of goal and didn't let fly. Has he been told not to shoot?

What do the attacking players do before EVERY game, without fail?
