what the f*** has happened?

a year ago he was our best player, moving to a premiership club for loads of money. now, he looks like he would struggle to get into a conference team - jesus, after today i would pick LOFT ahead of him

what the hell has seen him go off the boil in such spectacular fashion?

I have commented on how he used to take on players and get past them to score. He just seems to pass the ball whenever he gets it now.

Yup, very poor. Would much rather have seen OGH in the team yesterday, or Doug Loft. Or how about Sam Rents wide right?

Cox needs to be dropped for a while.

Lose of form. It's as simply as that.Wilkins did also say he needed a rest.Time to drop him for a few weeks and hopefully he will come back a better player.Alot of players also struggle in there second season. But you would rather dismiss that and instead make negative remarks.

Wow, that's quite harsh. She only made an observation that wasn't even negative, especially when compared to the initial post in the thread. Have an agenda do we?

He hardly had a break last season, and being his first full competitve year I suspect it's starting to catch up with him. Give him a break for a while to let him freshen up. Nothing to seriously worry about I don't think.

only his second season, it would be very unlikely that he would continue such good form from last year to this

Back in Sussex
Was very obviously a frustrated young chap yesterday afternoon and came close to losing it in the second half when he needlessly bundled into their goalkeeper and then, intentionally, kneed him in the back as he got up. There was not a lot of force behind it but if the 'keeper had made a meal out of it and/or the ref had seen it he could well have been off.

Remember that incident.
As he retreated up the field he needlessly called their goalie an effing c*nt.

Silly boy

Agree. One of our star players who is out of form so lets knock him

one of the few players at Albion that seems to scare the opposition and get the home crowd going.

I love Dean Cox - 100% Albion and has put in enough great performances to balance out a dip in form. Rest him for a few weeks and he'll be back to his old greatness.

Plenty of confidence and ability. He'll do alright. A rest might do him good and I am certain he will prove any doubters wrong.

give him a chance !

no he's not having a good season,he's a 20 year old kid who has come into the team and played just about every game since.wilkins would i guess like to have rested him for more than 1 game but martot getting injured forced his hand.when he come on for that 10 mins the other day he looked good and went past the full back a couple of times but.

just needs to find a bit of form and i think that means he needs a spell on the bench not 80 mins but 3 or 4 games
