Having been reading some of the comments on here tonight, I feel compelled to offer my viewpoint.
Yes, the atmos wasn't as great today, but there are many valid reasons for this. Am a north stand season ticket holder I sat in a different area of the stand today, as I brought my dad and, for the first time at the Amex, my missus. There seems to be lots of comments on various threads which give the impression that newbies are not that welcome, unless they sing and get involved to the level of the regulars. My missus is currently undergoing chemo (she is only 31) and I saw this game as a nice way of introducing her to the Amex experience, as a distraction to the crap we have been going through for the last 6 months. She loved her day out, to the point where she wants to come to another game. My point, is that surely we should use games like this to promote the Brighton way to people that wouldn't normally go to games. Living in Kent, she turned down a ticket to see Gillingham v stoke to visit the Amex, and I feel pleased that we possibly have gained a new fan. How many newbies that attended today would be put off if they could read some of the crap posted on here?
We are one club, one team yet seem divided over what stand sings the best, or who sings the loudest...and just end up arguing amongst ourselves. Yes,we all have our opinions, but what pulls us together is our love for the club. Whilst I was disappointed with the result, I will still back the team to the hilt, because We Are Brighton!
