Day return to London on Saturday

Its £38 for me and the missus to go to London by train on Saturday(including tubes and busses). Alternatively its £38 for 4 adults to do the same journey via a group saver ticket(also including public transport).
My question is:
Is anybody planning on going to London on Saturday and want to split this train fare with us? Works out at £9.50 return per adult

So are you planning to travel all day together then ? If you're not your tickets aren't valid and you will end up paying a penalty fare

If you're planning on using the train to get back from Londinium by 5:30, I would check very carefully - I know there are engineering works planned for early the next morning.

£43 each penalty fare is a big risk, and as the inspectors are specifically checking for this kind of fraud now it could even be a trip to the magistrates court.

As you say it's a risk you take, and when everyone else is moaning about the high cost of train travel it is exactly due to this kind of thing that fares are going up.

... except for some reason, the £9.90 ticket wasn't on offer last Saturday. It cost us £12.55 each.
