Stacks of them. Just pick a DM or DE article that talks about anything that is remotely connected to international affairs, refugees etc (You get my drift) and fill yer boots with hate.

Sorry that I don't feel like doing it. I would rather spend time at the moment posting pictures of cats and looking at beautiful landscapes.

B/L,i posted the link on the standard of BBC/R5,please keep it to that.

Truth is the Daily Mail does have some good writers and decent articles.

It's the rotten undercurrent of its editorial direction, and the attitude of many of its readers, that makes me dislike it.

They have some good sports writers (Matt Barlow, Ian Ladyman, Ian Herbert, Martin Samuel). The sports desk has recently undergone a change of personnel that has resulted in some key staff formerly with The Independent - when it was a newspaper - moving offices to the Mail (weirdly, they share the same building just off High Street Kensington). The front end disgusts me. And it disgusts some of them, to be fair. The same is true at the Torygraph, where a well-known friend of the Albion is leaving because he can't stand the political slant any more.

Needless to say, some on social media have dismissed Pleat's views as typical of old white males. Personally, I don't care about the race of gender of a broadcaster, but I do quite like knowledge and expertise. Equally needless to say, I despair of some of 5Live's present output.

You might be surprised at some of the conditions laid down by high profile guests on R5L before they agree to be interviewed.

Is anyone going to actually cut and paste the wisdom of David 'doing business, love?' Pleat? Or is this going to be an endless thread riffing the virtues of the Mail and the good old days?

OK, I'll bite.

Bryon Butler and Peter Jones.

Jones once referred to Billy Bremner as a 'cheeky chappie'. Those were innocent times. Blue Peter with Val Singleton, then Top of the Pops with Jimmy Savile before a smashing commentary from Elland Road, as the Champions of England took on the might of Celtic in the semi final of the European Cup. Heady, innocent days.

Come on, someone tell us what Pleat has to say!
Jumpers for Goalposts ! lol

It’s Steph McGovern who has the tattoo I’ve seen!

She's a strong woman. When Breakfast tried some minority sports for a laugh, Steph could literally carry little Mike Bushell. Not to be messed with.

When interviewed by Rachel, you always have a healthy reddish tan, looking a little flushed, with eyes on springs. Body language saying I want to dive on you. Cad.

Before my knee failed she used to run the same Parkrun as me.
