I think we have seen the last of Vicente, greatest player ever to pull on the stripes(maybe),but the stats will show he contributed nothing to the team.Argue all you like, this is a fact.

Stats don't tell what we have seen with our eyes but I will argue that one thing that isn't a fact is that we have seen the last of him. Back training and if he plays as he did pre-season he will be in the side before too long.

I really would love to know if Vicente is mental or not.

Edit : Or a Somatoform disorder as it is clinically known.

One of the major reasons we didn't do so well last season with Vicente in the team, is that absolutely EVERYTHING went through him when he was on the pitch. (Hence his assist and goal per game ratio)

Another major reason is that with him in the team we were very very lightweight (West Ham being a prime example)

Anyone should be able to see that Gus has addressed both those problems and then some. Crofts/Hammond/Bridge/Bruno to bring the strength, Dobbie/Lopez/Bruno/Bridge/Orlandi the talent to not have to rely solely on one man to create.

These players have not been brought in to replace Vicente, but to allow him to do what he does best without having to rely solely on him.

Always listen to what Gus says in his interviews - every time he gives something away as to what he is thinking, in this case the "we will see if I can bring in the necessary players to play alongside Vicente" or similar last season when asked if he would come back speaks volumes.

You are stunned by this post? You need to get a life mate

Err yeah because it has been consistently stated he will get his chance when appropriate for a new signing. Consistently. It struck me as a completely redundant post as we have been kept entirely informed of the David situation, and the recent games have been far too tense and 'all hands on pumps' (or something) to blood a new player correctly. Any Albion fan who a) has been paying attention and b) understands that you don't necessarily bring an untried winger on when you are soaking up immense pressure away from home would be aware of this. Hence my post. I have a life, ta. Yes I am shocked - by it's ignorance. This from the man who brought you 'CMS is shit get rid'... Although, I respect that you came out and held your hands up in the light of his much improved form. This I have time for in a poster.

My issue generally being: reactionary unthinking twaddle. It annoys me. I think my point stands. I guess the moody side of things comes from making the effort to have a rant - even if it is one I can easily back up with reason.

Sounds like some of David Lopez free kicks are going to be better than Beckhams, reading today's argus. I'm looking forward to seeing him in action

Anyone who thinks the whole Vicente saga has been a success for this football club is a idiot. Fantastic footballer, yes without a doubt. But as a team we have had better results on the pitch without him. At this moment in time this is a fact and football is about results, that's why we are top of the league. Where were we last season when Vicente finally got fit??. 4th, where did we finish??..Argue all you like.

Not normally a pedant, but surely you need correct grammar when calling people idiots?
