Spanish Dave may have been used as a sub in the Millwall game until CMS and Bruno picked up injuries and had to be replaced. Vicente on this day last season was the lynch-pin of the team and when he went off after an hour it all started to go tits up.

There are ten contenders for this prize and they are all by the same poster.

Anyone who thinks the whole Vicente saga has been a success for this football club is a idiot. Fantastic footballer, yes without a doubt. But as a team we have had better results on the pitch without him. At this moment in time this is a fact and football is about results, that's why we are top of the league. Where were we last season when Vicente finally got fit??. 4th, where did we finish??..Argue all you like.

What about our points per game ratio for every game he started, or is this irrelevant?

Was he playing in goal and in defence as well?

We can only judge him on what HE did. And what he did was frequently spectacular. He won the Portsmouth game single-handedly, him and Kaz completely ran the Derby game, his cross set up the Watford equaliser. That's 7 points gained just off the top of my head, I'm certain there's more.

You're oversimplifying things. We didn't do poorly because Vicente was in the team. He was in at the end of the season, fit again and fresh, when the rest of the squad was tiring. He played in different games at different times against different players, than our winning streak. You might as well say we lost this season against hull because he WASN'T in the team. It makes no sense, football is not black and white, but that's what you're trying to make it, to support your point.

I think we have seen the last of Vicente, greatest player ever to pull on the stripes(maybe),but the stats will show he contributed nothing to the team.Argue all you like, this is a fact.

What about his performances from the bench? Pompey? Leicester?

Why do you think we have seen the last of him when Gus CLEARLY stated he is back in full training after Birmingham.

Do you think we would have been signing players like Bruno and David Lopez if Vicente had not come here in the first place?

I don't know what you have against the man but your argument is very poor indeed

I don't have anything against the man. I love him as a player and iv'e loved seeing what he has done in the stripes. I just think the results we have had with him not in the side, compared to the results we have had with him in the side, just might show he is a luxury we don't need. And at £20k + a week, it could be money better spent.

I'm very excited by Lopez. I don't know why really. I just get the feeling that i believe wholeheartedly in his touch. His speed of thought should be at the upper level of our league too or maybe beyond it. Allied to that, i believe, will be a wish to prove himself and get enough game time. I don't think he'll not be fully involved for long. And when that happens, i would like to see Vicente back in as a part of something, rather than its epicentre. I imagine if he's watching games then he'll like what we're up to and want to be a member of a slick and potent squad.

According to you, that's nothing...

And you've been told his wages, well done for that.

How did you get on dragging that table around, by the way?

LOL

Some times there are statistical anomalies, I seem to recall it taking many games before Gareth Bale was involved in a winning Tottenham victory. By your rationale Spurs would have been better never playing him again in view of his win loss record which is crazy. If he was a boxer he would undoubtedly be shit, but in a team game there are too many variables to make such a sweeping statement.

As mentioned earlier you cannot fault him for the losses particularly when he did play well and produced many goals and assists.

For my money he should be used as a impact sub purely because of his fitness record that way we can use his quality when we really need him.

He's been on the bench for every game he's been here. I therefore very much doubt he's injured.
