at least Brooker would be able to hold the ball up and take the pressure off for a while, but would he cope with trying to head or control the ball when there's snow on it!

Very Good. Perhaps we should be bringing back Danny Webb:ohmy:

Coppell is full of contradictions - "I was a winger, love wing play so expect to see wingers slinging over lots of crosses" - any crosses we did have today came from Henderson who should be receiving them. "I want to play football" - has he told the players?, "we need to provide Knight with the right service" - yeah right, seven feet in the air when marked by two 6ft + defenders.

C

Interesting view. We have no-one who I would call an out and out winger. (Andrei Kanchelskis RIP). I think we need one or two!!!!

We seem to be caught between the desire to score goals (play Piercy and Harding) and the desire to defend (play Carpenter, Oatway and Rodger).

I think we need to get an experienced playmaker in and spend money. Step forward Junior Lewis.

we were poor in the first half, but towards the end when we got the ball down and played instead of hoofing it in the air we looked alright. Jones will be back next game and hopefully Piercy will play then i think we will definitley beat the cheats

I have never openly slagged off Coppell...if that was me you were aiming at...well of the mark!!!

I spent a hell of alot of time and money going to see the albion today and if I want to say they were shit I f***ing well will!!

As far as I am concerned, this team is not as good as the side taht played at colchester two years ago!

I am now going to bed an extermely disapointed man

No, I wasn't aiming that comment at you, I was referring to something someone posted about a person in the crowd who was shouting abuse at Coppell.

Of course you're entitled to say what you think, and others are entitled to disagree if they like. I too spend a hell of a lot of time and money on following the Albion - so does Turkey - at least that makes us all loyal fans, even if we don't always agree! Go to bed and sleep on it, you may feel better in the morning! I wasn't in a bad mood before, but I am now now after reading all this whingeing :lolol:

Didn't OGH hit the post? And come close a second time?

If one or both of those had gone in, would opinions have been different...?

"A difficult match, but we did well to get the draw", etc.

"We might not have deserved the victory, but what the hell - the table doesn't lie. We're second".

Football is a matter of seconds. And inches.

Every team is going to have their bad patch during the season, let's hope we are having ours early and get it out of the way.
Fantastic away support again girls and boys.
In our championship winning seasons we rarly went too long without bouncincing back. Bring on the cheats, and let's do the bizz.

The one thing I would agree with, is that it is in the midfield that we have the problem. We have to devise a way of delivering the ball to Knight so that he is ina position to be able to use it. Given that he is quite possibly the most miniature footballer in the history of the game, surely playing the darn thing to feet would not be too much to ask.

Unfortunately the game kind of passes by him three feet above his head, and that i suspect is why he has not featured strongly in recent games. He needs to be given the opportunity to use his pace to run at people.

Tuesdays line up will be interesting. I thought Harding did well against swindon so I can see why he was picked yesterday, but I was surprised that Chippy was the one to make way. Hopefully Piercy can live up to everyones expectations and be given the chance to impress.

This is interesting.

Under Adams and Taylor we used to bounce back THE NEXT GAME. however we've had 3 SHIT performances in a row now...this is why people are getting worried methinks.

Ain't that the truth.

I wasn't a massive fan of Junior Lewis first time round - too quiet for a lot of the game for my liking. But he could sure slot a ball out of midfield to strikers' feet. He and Knight would work brilliantly together.

OGH and Piercy/Harding can then rain in the balls to Henderson from the wing, with Knight picking up any bad clearances in the box.

Well I,ve woken up disappointed by yesterdays, performance it has to get better. Maybe it will when Jones comes back!!! I think we are all frustrated as we know our team can play so much better than this ,we seem to sink to the level of the side we are playing against. Lets hope things will improve if we contiue like this we are mid table or worse.
