The Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers, who had cancer, dies at 66

I don't like many cookery programmes but these two (along with Si King were a joy to watch.
Their recipes were simple to use as well.
I don’t like cookery programmes either, but they were different. Genuine people who seemed to be able to connect with normal people wherever they were. Enormously human rather than the temperamental divas that some of them are.I really enjoyed watching their obvious friendship. I’m not a foody at all, but liked their shows.
Fortunately I have not lost a close friend yet but having a bit of a family of wrong ‘uns, my friends are my family. I’ve lost family members and I have coped as we were not a particularly close family.
But thinking about losing friends makes me feel very sad.
And no age at all.
RIP
Really glad to hear this.I met the Hairy Bikers in London one Christmas and they were exactly as they are on tv -
genuine, decent, warm, witty people.
