Out of interest why not? And what sort of player are we looking for?

From what I can recall of the bloke he's a horrible **** that makes a right nuisance of himself for defenders and also chips in with a few goals. Sounds like EXACTLY the sort of player we are missing to play along side CMS.

19 goals in 96 games since he left Reading in 2008. This signing would show a huge lack of ambition, he's 32 in a couple of weeks too.

Exactly this. He fits into the Dennis Wise mould. All opposition fans hate him, but if he is on your side he is doing a good job.

Would also mean no Harley, as clearly you only need one token ginger.
