Maybe fixtures, But I see Ipswich have released Darren Currie, and from what i can make out we were close to resigning him during the transfer window ???
Could do a job
Also Burnley have released Frank Sinclair he could also do a job

Surely he would want to stick around at Derby if they go up. Perhaps he would try and negotiate a pay-as-you-play kinda deal.

Yeah true but I don't think he'd get to many games in the top flight and Derby will need to spend big if they go up. Just don't think Currie would cut the mustard in the Premiership

If he's available and interested, for the right kind of money (wages-wise), I'd take him.

Wouldn't go for Sinclair though.

Isn't Currie just filling in time before going off to play alongside Beckham in LA (that's Los Angeles, not Little Ampton)

I believe he had a trial but wasn't thought to be good enough (could be wrong though)

According to an interview with him in FourFourTwo this month, he had a trial out there, but said that 'the football wasn't to his liking'.

He is probably the worst player ive ever seen at the Withdean. I have no idea how he ever played for England.

I was pi$$ taking, still can't believe how excited I was when we signed him.

Darren Currie would be absolutely ideal for us, experienced and classy and the youngsters could do his running for him, give him a decent wage and get him back.

AND he can take a free kick which no other bugger can in the current set up

I think Currie could do well In the Premiership with his crossing and set plays.

Pace maybe a problem bt not a major one if they used him right

Almost like the NFL when you woudl bring him on as part of a special unit to deliver set plays. Would not last the pace in the top echelon.
