They go in like WHOOOOOSSSSSSSSHHHHH!!

The cross that nearly got us a goal from the free kick out wide in the first half was as good as anything I've seen Beckham do, it had loads of curl and dip on it. Marvellous scenes. In my time watching the mighty stripes I can't think of a player better at crossing the ball than Darren Currie, he really is starting to look like an excellent signing.

ps Safeway reckons Paul Watson is better but I think that he was talking SMACK.

Must say I was well impressed with Currie yesterday.

His crossing was excellent, always had pace on it and over the first defender, into the danger area.

Also his link-up play was very good and some neat back heels and jinks away from his marker too. Seems to be playing with a renewed confidence and knows what his role is. Turning into an excellent signing for us.

We have now someone who can play the dead ball and cross. I think it's my first time since watching the Albion. Thank you MM.

Slightly harsh on Rodger, as some of his deliveries were brilliant.

If Jolly does come back, it is going to give us some decent options with regards to set pieces, having a decent left footer and right footer to deliver the things.

So long as we can keep Nathan Jones away from the free kicks. Against Preston I was willng him to leave one to Currie, but no...

Chippy and Currie not only sounds like a top takeaway, it also should be a great duo for our free-kicks over the season.

Watson was superb at those inswinging free kicks from the touchline area into the box for Bobby to tuck away, but his open play crossing was nothing special.

I agree his delivery is excellent most of the time.

Wendy Wilkins used to be able to deliver real quality from Set Piecesi think, but that is different to crossing aball though.

Currie adds a bit of flair to the team, great crosser and the commentator on sky was raving about him as a player. Saying " im suprised he never made premiership" etc etc :clap2: sounds like we got a bargain!

I know he's his uncle, but Tony Currie said a couple of years ago that Darren was a better crosser of the ball than Beckham.

A bit steep I reckon, but he is pretty tasty at it. And he's getting fitter all the time.

Agree absolutely.
Always rated him. He always looked a quality player when he played against us, obviously never had the right set up to get the best out of him - the quote in the Argus yesterday about the rest of the team helping him improve the weak points of his game was spot on.

Well done Darren!
I also think Hammond has done very well. He looked a good player, never got a chance though. With the others getting fit it's going to be an interesting choice for MM.

Currie was RUBBISH.
Can someone remind me how many goals did we score from his crosses yesterday ? He got ONE decent ball in, and that was just lucky as he mis-hit it completely. It just so happened that it nearly went in at the far post, but it wasn't what he'd meant.

And everyone raves about Curries corner against Preston that we scored from. Well we were dead lucky that the ref didn't blow for a foul on their keeper, and even then it was one of THEIR players who put it in the net, none of ours were anywhere near it. So how does that make it a good corner ?

You all need to take off your rose tinted specs.

Currie played well when we managed to get him on the ball yesterday, we played all our football when he was involved.
