Boring By Sea
The original Funny Games is really hard watching and pretty menacing. The re make looks like it has been dumbed down- but only guessing from the trailer.

Most disturbing scene for me has to go to the rape scene in Irreversible. Having interviewed rape victims I know that It's 100% accurate as a portrayal of rape. The level of violence and fear are amazingly portrayed by the actors. The actress allegedly cried for days after filming it.

Totaaly agree , I was nowhere near prepared for the amount of violence in that scene. Utterly utterly disturbing.
I also found the humiliation scenes in the woods from the original Last House on the Left hard to watch as well.

I watched 'Perfume: The Story of a Murderer' the other day. Cracking film. The whole murdering thing came as a surprise to me though because I didn't know what the film was called until it finished :lolol:

Horrible as in "shit film" or Horrible as in "great film, but brutal"

From watching the trailer without sound (I'm at work) It looks good.

It's a good film but the concept is nightmarish.

Agree with some of the above that I have seen. In particular:
Don't look Now - the only film that has ever kept me awake at night.
Sophie's Choice - shattering ending.
Seven - Kevin Spacey chillingly brilliant

And to add one that I don't think has been mentioned - the original Swedish version of "The Girl with the Dragon tattoo". Brilliant story - far-fetched but strangely believable. great and complex characters and superbly made.

That film got me too, Christ probably one of the worst films I've seen. Like the way it was filmed though.

I just rented Eden Lake without knowing anything about it because there wasn't much to rent in the shop. I absolutely loved it even though it's exceptionally gruesome!

Eden Lake is superb.
