Remember seeing the scenes when he signed for that club in Turkey. Crazy crazy stuff, you would have thought they had signed Messi!

He'll be 32 years old in June. Thought he was much older than this. Our new doctor got Vicente running about like a 21 year old, why not Vassell?

Our top priorities are definitely a goalkeeper and a beast of a midfielder though.

To be honest, I'm not really interested in any released Champ players unless they were released by their own choice and not the club. Only a personal thing: If they're not good enough for Leicester, thats because they don't think they'll push them onwards - therefore, i don't think they'll improve us greatly.

Yeah, we should never take on that Zamora if Bristol Rovers dont think he's up to it!

I agree, surely at that age he can't be totally over the hill.

Bristol Rovers were a division (Division Two) above us at the time and there's a difference between a 19 year old with promise and a knackered 32 year old.

Plus he wasn't released. We bought him.

Otherwise, good point!!

It was an illustration after the rather daft statement than no other Champ clubs rejects are ever worth consideration. No player ever goes on to better himself after being let go by a club after all.

I know what you're saying but I just though Zamora was a poor example... Out of interest, how many of our released players went on to better things?

Leicester fan here rated him, played mostly on the wing/support striker.

Jim McNulty released in Div 1, player of the season in a Championship side. Russell Martin released by us in 2004 now in the Prem with Norwich.
