I read in one of the papers on Sunday that Gillingham are to reject a bid from Swindon in favour of another bid from an un-named Championship club.

I hope to god thats its not us!! :nono:

Sorry I meant an extension to his current loan deal, in favour of a deal with an un-named Championship club!!!!!!!!!

Given his 5 or so goals in 6 games, I'd take him happily! He was far from shit when he was with us, people just took against him, and he'd get a lot better service now.

No, sorry Royal Ali, but he was shit for us.

He claimed to have had a great record for us- well one of his two claimed goals was a penalty and the other was a shot of his that was going away from the goal before a defender slid across it and knocked it in the back of the net. Even Shearer wouldn't have claimed that one.

He had a poor first touch and was the slowest thinking footballer I saw last season. Swindon are welcome to him.

I think his 2 goals were penalties (Oldham away and Swindon at home). His most memorable thing was staying on his feet when fouled at Plymouth and then missing an easy chance to make the game 4-1. If he had gone down the defender was off and the chances are the penalty would have gone in. Instead Plymouth scored 2 late goals.

An utter plank (only a plank has more skill).

If he signs for a Championship club, I would absolutely love it if he scored against you.
Henderson plays an aerial game, I think almost every one of his goals scored for us was either a header or a volley.

I've heard Currie is a good crosser of the ball, and if Henderson and Currie were in the same team I think they could work well together.

Thing is they are both so bloody slow neither of them would ever be up with play.

Not very nice wanting him to score against us.

I thought you valued him at about £1.5 million??
:jester:

I suppose once you get past the second divison, then the aerial game becomes more and more rare.

Henderson was never a bad player for us, its surprising how 2 sets of fans can have such differing opinions.

Rougier was never very good for us, but you all rated him.

Strange game.

I think we took to Rougier, because although clumsy he always tried and seemed to give a toss. Henderson was lazy and was only here to get some games. Also as him and Knight were replacing Zamora he was never going to be rated.

henderson was shite for us after a promosind debut at oldham and why he never went down when wotton rugby tackled him at plymouth is a mystery nearly as much as how he's scoring so much for the sour grapes lot from wiltshire.

Henderson was one of those classic cases that when NSC decides a player is shit, he must be shit. Never mind what he did for Reading, never mind his useful partnership with Leon, never mind his current form for Swindon.

But a pointless discussion really, because we're not in a position to outbid Swindon for a player.

I think to be fair peoples opinion was based on his performances for us, which were generally poor. He just did not look interested and his records was 2 goals, both of which were penalties.

Please LI. Just DON'T. He was pantalones for those of us with eyes to see. The only useful partnership he ever made with Leon was that NEITHER of them could be arsed to run for the ball.

He wasn't great, but if he's found the motivation to work a bit more, I could see him being pretty useful - no worse than McPhee.
