The stuff he did in his younger days was actually pretty good, he was excellent in a comic role as Moff in Human Traffic and as the gay guy in Borstal Boy. Never should have done all those soppy brit gangster films.

I met him recently. Not for long but he came across as a thoroughly decent, self aware bloke. I found him to be very funny too.
