Looks like he could be out for a few weeks. (BBC)

Weren't we due the next transfer installment around about now?

The money would come in handy for January.

I thought it was just bruising and no broken bones.

Surely we can spend the money, knowing that it will arrive.

SHort term loan from a director or along those lines....

Trouble is, Bates is one of those Chairmen who will deliberately delay playing someone of there's a cash payment involved.

If someone came in and did a better job (and let's face it that wouldn't be difficult where Harding is concerened) Harding could be dropped to the stiffs.

We're due a chunk of transfer fee whether he's injured or not. It will just delay the first of the appearance payments which will be triggered when he plays a couple more games.

:lolol: :lolol:

Yeah he is really crap, he's done a totally shocking job despite playing 18 games for the team joint third in the league.

>>Didn't Starry say he'd broken a bone in his foot, or something?<<

Yep, that was what was first thought but the scan showed there is no break and it's just heavy bruising. He could be fit for the game this weekend but more likely won't play until the following week.

Djimi Traore is a regular in the side 2nd in the Premiership and played most games in the Champions League including the final, doesn't make him good.

But Harding is.

He has competition for his place, he's not just there because we don't have another left back.

Traore has only played 5 or 6 league games this season.

Indeed. Some of us got severe stick on here for daring to suggest such a thing while he was being swatted aside like a fly by the likes of Akinbiyi while he was at Brighton. Comedy value aside tho, your lot surely aren't seriously considering playing him in the first team if you happen to get promoted?

Most defenders get swotted aside or left for dead by the best striker in this division

Dunno, I think we've signed a different player to the one you all remember. He pretty much kept Akinibiyi out both of our games against Burnley this season (one of which games was his first back after being replaced by Crainey, we won both). He is confident on the ball, can hold his own, his tackling has come on leaps and bounds throughout the season, he likes to get forward and cross the ball and is taking some pretty spectacular free kicks.

Gets the thumbs up from me.

Fair enough.

Hopefully we'll get to judge for ourselves on Jan 14th.
