No. Just type [ yt ][ /yt ] for Youtube and [ gv ][ /gv ] for Google video. Minus the spaces, obviously

Embed code? What on earth is that when it is home? And how does one access that?

When on Youtube or Google Videos they tend to list an embed code on the page - simply copy and paste. Or extract the unique video ID from the embed code and use the tags that DP has illustrated above.
