Saw this on ask the club , insider said

The best way of putting it is that Dan is training with us, with a view to a possible permanent move. However Dan has a lot of clubs (Championship) who would like to sign him, and offers already on the table, so to suggest he's on trial would be incorrect. I think Dan is keen to come back here, which might explain why he hasn't signed elsewhere. The confusion has arisen from the fact that both seagulls.co.uk and the Argus misinterpreted he was on a trial (like Spiller and Ricketts).

dont matter
Cant see him playing against Worthing tonight then, in case he gets injured and scuppers any move to one of these 'Championship' clubs.

You can see why they got confused when the official club text said

"TRIO ON TRIAL: Former England striker Michael Rickets, former Seagull Dan Harding and ex-Millwall midfielder Danny Spiller are all on trial with Albion"

Agreed. I raised the question on here at the time, but then took the club's information on the website as the truth. May have been mentioned here but Paul Camallin? (wrong spelling I think) clarified situation on commentary last night when asked why Harding wasn't playing

I think I'd interpret this differently. Harding training with us whilst waiting for decent offer from Championship club. If nothing comes along, he might sign for us.

All a bit Kanchelskis to me. If I had to put money on it, I'd bet he won't join.

perhaps he wants to live in brighton again and rates this higher than playing for a championship club miles away from home.

If so it would be a bonus to get a player who could play at a higher level but wants to play nearer home.

Though he did screw us a bit last time so who knows?

Gentlemen, gentlemen! Heed the Good Book:

"...there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent." Luke 15:7

No mention of the Championship though....

Suggests he could be persuaded to stay if the money was right. Seems fair enough to me. That's only what the rest of us would do in our jobs isn't it?

I know he was involved with our youth system, but is he actually FROM the area?

'The Dan Harding Situation' sounds like a jazz-rock band from about 1974....

I thought he was from Gloucestershire originally. Obviously a southern accent, but definitely remember reading that somewhere.

Gloucestershire rings a bell. I'm pretty sure he's not a local lad.
