Good luck to BDB. Always gave us 100% and turned into a very good CB this season! Gone to his home town club, that he supported as a lad and we have been paid top money for his service! For all the Bellends saying he has no moral compass etc etc ………Get over yourselves. I do hope Newcastle go down but wish him good luck!

I do all right as it is thank you very much, pretty much like DB I should think.

If a morally bankrupt company offered me double, I'd turn them down in a heartbeat.

Good enough for you?

Hypo ...... hypo ... hypo-something for sure. Hypothetical will do. Actions speak louder than words - and it's easier to claim the moral high ground when the situation doesn't apply.

Doesn't matter. I'm born and bred Sussex, supported the Albion all my life. If the Albion were taken over by the same lot, I'd never give a penny of my hard earned ever again.

Like I said, some of us have morals. I hope it goes tits up for him and anybody else that works for them.

So, if you were a professional footballer, you’d refuse to play for the Albion if they were owned by PIF but the fans and manager really wanted you?

I'm sad he's gone; when he was good (more often than not) he was very very good, and when he was bad he was (very rarely) horrid.

Aside from Ben White, I can't remember the last time we sold to a team in our division. White going was more understandable, but there's a feeling for me that selling a player we didn't have to sell and didn't particularly want to sell, foreshadows contract discussions with Trossard and Bissouma and the like. Not an opening of the floodgates necessarily, but just a pricking up of the ears that oh, we will sell our first team players.

I do understand the circumstances around BDB, but still.

Yes. For me, yes.

Obviously that's entirely hypothetical and if I'd spent my life doing what's required to be a professional footballer, rather than what I've actually done, I'd have a completely different set of life experiences, expectations and knowledge of the world, so who actually knows...

I can't find it in my heart to dislike Dan Burn, so I hope he has a wonderful life, but also completely forgets how to play football and helps get Newcastle relegated.

Pedant alert - BDB was born in Blyth not Newcastle ...

Unless Blyth Spartans have signed him?

Sad to see Dan go, especially to an outfit I have no respect for. I understand the pull of home for him and personally wish him the best and am grateful for the memories: being applauded by Aguero for his control, marking Lukaku out of the game in what has turned out to be his last game for us at the Amex, a couple of great 'job done, so what, back to work' understated celebrations after assisting goals, his involvement in bursting out of defence for some great team goals, particularly the last minute own goal winner against Everton and of course that heartwarming winning goal against Man City. He's been a great pro for us, never hiding, even when there have been tough moments. Good luck Dan. I hope you get to play a big part in a Newcastle promotion season next year, after Howe's been sacked for taking them down.

On a side note, its funny to see Newcastle fans who argued that Lascalles was better than Dunk celebrating the signing of Dunk's understudy as a potential replacement for him.

Hopefully this means that Big Shane is nearly back to fitness and that we are prepared to give Haydon Roberts some game time.
