.....As a pereson who likes to carry a grudge, I will never forgive the Mail for being the voicepiece for the National Socialists in the 30s, wuth their endless features on Mr Hit;er's good ideas for dealing with the 'Jewish Question' (the latter being a sort of 30s dog whistle term equivalent to 'fake news' that was strewn around to make fellow travellers snicker with scorn at those who fail to grasp the nature of the Real Enemy).....

And I thought that I was old! If you can remember back to the 1930's then you must be approaching your 90th birthday. It's hardly within living memory, is it?

I agree with you but wouldn't like to be the linesman or referee today, if they make a mistake anywhere near you. Get in there!

Sadly I missed the match because, ahem, I was overseeing a children's party . . . . . but I did give someone a look at one point. :lolol::cheers:

Wikileaks has a rep for accuracy. I see the OP didn't link a source, like the claim about the Press complaints authority. Although with the grauniad constantly encourage their whiny readers to go crying I am not suprised if that would be true, although complaints upheld would be a better measure.

You really are an unpleasant, relentless bore.

Some grudges are personal. Some are inherited. If the Mail editor apologised for his predecessor being Hitler's gimp, and the decades of anti-human scaremongering coupled with rose-tinted spectacular accomodation of greed, snobbery, racism, ageism, sexist and general cuntfulness, I might be prepared to use a bit of it to line my parrott's cage.

whiney guardian readers . . . shill . . .?

My, you are in a mad red baiting spasm this morning, aren't you . . . . . I have been told the Mail has excellent pages on fashion for aspirational women approaching the end of the first blush of youth, and good tips for dieting (to help the older women keep their man interested). I presume it is not these fine features that render you such a loyal and aggressive Mail reader? :lolol:

I hate the Mail. But if you think that gives you the right to dismiss me and others who feel similar as a guardianista (a paper I last looked at 20 years go - it is rubbish) or a shill ('an accomplice of a confidence trickster or swindler who poses as a genuine customer to entice or encourage others' according to wikipedia - I wonder who tought you that one, given you normal general level of ignorance and illiteracy?) then permit me to give you the benefit of my opinion: you are a complete ********.

Nicely put.

You must expect poor quality trolling from a poor quality troll.

Have you forgiven the Mirror? ???

It is one of the choicest pieces of journalistic dinner party general knowledge that the filthy right-wing Daily Mail was officially a fascist newspaper in the 1930s. The paper was burned on the streets after running the headline "Hurrah for the Blackshirts" and backing Oswald Mosley's plan to make himself Britain's equivalent of Adolf Hitler. No surprise then, so the conversational gambit goes, that the Mail is still beating up on asylum seekers today.

What is less well known is that the Mail's former stablemate the Daily Mirror was just as pro-fascist. On Monday, 22 January, 1934 the Mirror ran the headline "Give the Blackshirts a helping hand". The paper went one further than the Mail, urging readers to join Mosley's British Union of Fascists, and giving the address to which to send membership applications.

I would proffer that if the poster has expressed a dislike for the Mail on the grounds they supported Fascism, he would likely feel the same about any paper that supports fascism.

Everything about this front page sums up why I dislike the Mail and have little respect for it's readers.

Well said. The fascists of the left won't be happy till all right-wing media are silenced. Free speech is in real danger from the guardianistas. Whatever happened to "I disagree completely with what you say but I would fight to the death for your right to say it"? Such an idea seems incomprehensible to so many on the (supposedly liberal) left today, including on here.

Maybe decent society doesn't believe in freedom of speech when it comes without the concept of responsibility.

To be able to say something for its own sake has little value.

Your post is a case in point.

.

And here it is the desperate and ignorant assumption. I dont read the mail, I avoid all MSM. Its just firstly casual attacks on the press, unsourced are at best dodgey at worst a slippery slope, someone who like you who has the morals of an alley cat would happily slide down. And this is the funny bit, you and the other haters/grauniadiostas, leftist shills or calll it what you may have not twiged that all this continual whining hasn't worked. The mail is the biggest seller still, most people I assume whio read it do not give a shit what people like you think.

This makes your whining pointless. I mean maybe you should move on and moan about something else? Try poverty for example and stopacting like a pillock, or maybe you are not acting?

If all you lefty snowflakes are interested in spotting BS then there is one in the Guardian today about an imminant Liberal renaissance in the US that will bring down Trump. Haha talk about denial.

The election and subsequent presidency has coined a bunch of awful phrases but I think "snowflake" has to be the one which enrages me the most. Just over "fake news".

snowflake has been around a while, to aptly describe a certain type of person who feels they shouldnt be affected by anything in the world. the left wing alternative of disgusted of Tunbridge Wells, who share the same self-absorbation.

No time for the 'Mirror'. Another shite sheet. Remenber the 'Achtung' headline before an Englanmd Germany game? Anyway, no tabloid counts as a serous source of anything. The Mail likes to think of itself as above the tabloids. Moreover, just because the Mirror was also stinky doesn't make the Mail's PRESENT DAY DELUGE OF MINDLESS DIARRHOEA acceptable. So please don't try to defend it . . . you may as well paint 'kick me' on your arse and bend over. :lolol::bigwave:

Grow up. Learn to write in English (I assume it is your native tongue). Read what other people write before attacking things they haven't said. Oh, and SOD OFF, you rediculous over-extended cockwomble. You write nothing that makes any sense. Next you'll be complaining that we were illagally allowed entry into the premier league last season (we are not in the premier league, just in case you weren't aware). Have a nice warm bath. Stop engaging with things about which you know nothing, Don't use the interweb to answer your questions about life, the universe and anything. Acne eventually clears up. ************ isn't wrong. Its OK, it really is. Everything will eventually make sense.
