DAB Radios

Can anyone help me in choosing a new radio.
I know what they do but they range in price from about £35 for this one in tescos Technika DAB-106 Digital Radio to around £300.
Shall i just buy the cheap one in Tescos or is there a big difference in quality...
Please does anyone know??

Price differential is generally due to quality of amp and speakers as the basic DAB unit is comparable on all models.

If sound quality isn't an issue, i.e. you listen mainly to talksport and 5 live rather than music, the £35 will do ya comfortably

Cheers mate sound quality is not too important as all it will be for is 5 live and SCR for Albion games.

Can anyone recommend a hand held one? They all seem to have SHITE battery consumption, which has put me off until now, but want to take the plunge.

I have a Roberts RD5 ( I think) in the kitchen and it is suberb

I bought a Philips one off Ebay and happy with it, but batteries don't last long, but at least they are rechargeables.

Listening to 5 live at the moment on DAB - brilliant (although hearing Lawrenson perfectly is a bit of an arse).
