Ok. You've got there in time.

I know the velo rule. Thank you. I will adhere.

Please don't hate me. I grew up in the Chopper and Grifter generation. True cycling was denied me.

You wouldn't listen to me, though, would you?

Those Torm jerseys, and the Morvelo ones...far more stylish, and not pretending to be something they're not.

Yeah. Should be a good early-season tear up in a minute

Indeed, not sure why I have bothered to watch the rest though. Final 10km was always gonna be all the action in this one.

Anyone else watching Stage 2, of the Tour of Dubai?

I was, but even I have popped over to watch Jenny Jones in the freestyle downhill snowboarding.

They are difficult to take in, held in hot country with obsence amounts of money, lots of riders seem to use them as training i/.e Martin yesterday time trialling to fourth. The country has no history of cycling so little public reaction, however how else will cycling get a profile in places like China without these races.

I am not sure if they even enter local riders or teams though.

However I will hopefully be switching back to see if CAV is in form.

The Dubains are so science fiction its almost blade runner in the desert. Race finish at the city of Atlantis, sort of sums it all up.

Come on CAV, show some early season form

Love to see the team meetings where riders are offered team cycle cross training in Febuary low lands over the cobbles or Tour of Dubai racing:p I know where I would rather be training, sod the hard man image

Petacchi messed that up real bad. A Shimano rider swung off the front at the end of his effort then Petacchi went to go in to his wheel, or drop out himself. Renshaw and Cav followed him, had to virtually stop as Petacchi was not pedalling anymore. Renshaw drove to get them back up there but they were about twentieth wheel by then. Cav gets blocked out and it is all over from his point of view.

I think OPQ need to stop pulling so early, Kittel keeps winning, so make Shimano do the work. Superb from Kittel again though, he was never going to be beaten once he got to the front.

Agree Omega put a lot of effort in for nowt then, they have a great train it needs to stick to its guns and use its peel off guys to muck up the other contenders not its own

The irony is that much of the field in Dubai, Qatar etc are the classics specialists so after a nice bit of sun, they get sent to K-B-K and Het Nieuwsblad at the end of Feb. A nasty shock to the system!

The problem for Cav now is how Uran fits into the team.
Surely that's going to impact on his GT train.

Nice work ignoring the new 'what bike' thread.
I'm really struggling to not be a snarky ********, on it.
Not helped by being really tired which makes snarky ******** my default setting.

The comment at the top of the cycling week thread says what I think too.

I just wanted that retro peugeot world championship top. Maybe just to wear to bed!

Sorry! I thought that if I mentioned Decathlon, someone might pop in to disagree with me!
Take no notice, I don't imagine there were many posties who weren't bit titsy after work, yesterday.

I don't know what my excuse will be today!!
