Anyone have a brompton? Thoughts?

I think for the purpose of taking a longer journey by train or car then having a bike to make your connection - they are excellent. Well built, solid, and actually quite rewarding to cycle, and easy to fold away etc.

Not sure how they'd feel for anything over say 10miles at a time though, although some enthusiasts use them for touring!

Has SB noted (and picked) the magnificently named Bob Jungels? He's number 18.
Bob Jungles is a member of Team Greatname, (that needs workshopping) but not in my ITT team.

The only flaw in the team, is I can never remember who's in it.

Jeff Soup.
Bob Jungles.

See I've forgotten the rest already.

1,2,3,4,5 and nobody!!

This is nuts:-

I loved Boardman's comments on Kiri
'he might not be able to go any faster, but he could carry on for another 4 hours'.
&
'he'll go off and clean his bike now'.

So have I! Bold and I are cycling both ways - so's Hamilton. Geek sponsorship would be very welcome!

Good on all three of you and good luck, both with the both ways ride and sponsorship.

I promised Moto first though and so I'll give all my sponsorship to him rather than spread it thinly over 3 of you, even though it all amounts to the same thing for a cracking cause

Have to say, 4 geeks doing the ride is great work! :clap2:

I didn't try hard enough for the last place 10 points.

Had I known Syria's premier time trialler was competing I'd have filled my boots.

Edit: Nice one IL

Not so good for me but I was pleased to have correctly selected the last man!

I figured a fella from Syria might have had other things on his mind.

I toyed with trying to get that last man home. Bloke from Andorra or South Korea would probably have been my pick there, but instead I had three 3 credit riders where I hoped two might just sneak a top 20 and one might sneak a top 10. The latter managed 6th place so quite happy with that. Good work on your last man home.

Cheers 1066, much appreciated. I'm really looking forward to this ride, despite the 6.30 start from the Amex.

Although it's bound to rain.

At the moment the BBC has a dry warm day with a cross wind, fingers crossed that holds.

10 has sponsored us. Top man. I'm toying with riding there in full or part. 30 miles on roads I'm not familiar with might be a bit of a gamble. I'll probably jump off the train earlier to do a few extra miles. Surely if it rains we'll be harder to set light to?
