I don't think the guy is that keen or that desparate. Shame as we would all be over the proverbila moon if he did but as the bloke was a candidate for the English manager I reckon he'll bide his time for a premiership role.

Every manager who is currently unemployed must be considered a candidate, also those who are in charge of teams below us in the football pyramid. However, reality teaches us that there are some who will be hanging on for a slightly better offer than managing the mighty Albion. Much as I would love to see Curbs manage our team I would rate it in the pigs might fly category.

There was an agency story floating about with this story, any paper can pick it up and use it (ie it was from the same source, and pure speculation).

I know Curbishley is currently on holiday in New Zealand and had planned to take at least another six months off before getting back into management. These things can obviously change, but that's what he said last week.

We would never get Curbs here, to be honest he's already been in exactly the same position with Charlton, so why would he want to go through that again? We couldn't afford his wages, and has said he's not interested in a job till end of October. Also why would he want to get this low in the league? Personally I would love it if he came here, but more likely to get Hoddle :shootself
Of course would be more then happy if this thread is bounced to prove me wrong at some point.

I'd love to see it, but I don't see it happening somehow.

this is no more than an unconfirmed rumour.

But earlier this week before Mcghee had been sacked think it might have been tuesday. I recieved a text from a friend saying they had just seen Curbs, Gary Nelson and Norman Cook in a restaurant in Hove.

I know this sounds stupid but I got this text before we were even aware Mcghees future was in doubt. To me I can't imagine why Curbs would even think of joining us

Its not that hard to believe as I recall Brian Horton came here while Steve Gritt was still in charge. I have to question Dick Knight's credibility though. Allegedly both McGhee and Booker heard of their dismissal from the radio. If that's true then Knight should be ashamed.

Agreed. It's a discrace if they heard it on the radio before they were told.

Dunno where you heard that from! They were both told during the day on Thursday.

PEOPLE CAN WE GET REAL.

Curbs left Charlton after missing out on England, basically because he wanted a higher profile, so why the f*** would he consider the Albion.

Simply put he wouldn't and probably had a laugh when he heard the story.

Adams, Coppell, Taylor and McGhee were promised a new stadium.

If we can't attract a Leyton Orient striker to sign for us, what chance have we got of getting a decent manager? Answer none at all.
