What are you expecting him to do, when he receives the ball there’s 11 Palace shirts in front of him, it’s hard to play through 3 banks that are all condensed into one half.

Would really love to see Ryan at least dive the right way for a penalty.

Forgetting the piss poor, game ruining referee, we've looked pathetic in front of goal yet again.
We boss the midfield and then there's nothing in the final third. Maupay looks dire today, trossard has been poor too. Can't see where our equaliser will come from.

There are many people around the country saying it was not a penalty, sadly the Ref and the idiot doing VAR today don't agree with them! we need to forget it and move on and score more goals than them, Best way to win a football game in my opinion

Very poor half. Maupay taking too many touches, notably poor ones, and I barely remember Trossard having one.

Need to do more with it but **** me there’s only one team playing football. They are just chucking everyone behind the ball and time wasting. Attwell and Friend (on VAR) their best players. They’ve not been near our goal! Absolutely shocking decision their guy backed in and dived.
That’s completely expected in this game. Nothing to shout about, it’s how this Palace team play.

I'm not sure I see the point in actually playing the games any more. Decisions are becoming increasingly nonsensical and the system brought in to create clarity is providing even more confusion.
Of course it wasn't a penalty. Yet here we are 1-0 down to the penalty.
In these times of covid where fans aren't allowed into the stadium and social distancing is a must maybe we should all save the bother and let the ref decide what he thinks the score should be? Or if you want an element of sporting tension and excitement the captains could do a best of three rock paper scissors over Zoom.
It makes as much sense as playing that first half.
