Crystal palace bigger than Liverpool

Don't get too excited my little pikey hombres, I mean importance of the fixture. The Liverpool game was a pleasant little irrelevance, this one is the real deal. Even during the scousers game I was thinking, hope we don't do that vs palace, hope we do this vs palace. I can't stop thinking about Tuesday's game, half of me can't wait, half of me doesn't want tuesday to come. It's defo the biggest game thus far. This game for me is not big just for the obvious rivalry reasons, it was the first fixture my late grandad took me to in 84 at the goldstone were we won 1-0. The mullery incident was before my time but remember the the horrific Henry hughton tackle that finished off Gerry Ryan, the record easter penalty game at selhurst in the 80s, the boxing day games and being present at the defeat that shall not be named at selhurst a few years back.
Anyone else hyperventilating over tuesdays game :)

I don't think we'll lose, but am having £20 on the scum anyway. Odds of 5/1, means £120 back if we lose. That'll soften the blow:drink:

I was thinking wouldn't it be fun to do a Liverpool or Man Utd to them, the good ole 9-0.

Since we knew we would be playing them this season there has only been one match that I couldn't stop thinking about.....and it's nearly here!!!

This is probably the only occasion where it could truthfully be said that we see Palace as bigger than Liverpool :)

The cup was fun, gave us a chance to test ourselves against higher league teams and we came out not too bad I think, but now its time to pay the bills and get on with the season long job in hand, we were not going to win the cup BUT we could come out at the end of the season in a very nice position and thats more important. £3million for winning the Carling Cup or the estimated £80million for getting to the premiership, what would you rather have?

Forget ALL other games this season. This IS the one.

I'm 47 and am feeling like a kid on Christmas Eve. C'mon The Albion, let's nail these Saarf London mugs!!

Ridiculously easy win for the good guys tomorrow night. Palace's slide into mid table mediocrity has already started while we're just two points off top spot.

3-0 I should think, and "you should've stayed at the big club" ringing round the ground when Murray limps off after 65 minutes having barely had a kick all game.

This game has occupied my every waking hour for far too long now. Kid on Christmas as said above, can't wait for it to arrive, but don't want it to be over either.

3-1 to the Albion.

Absolutely this. I am 43 and feel the same. It will be even better than when at the Goldstone. Judging by the atmosphere v Leeds, it will be electric tomorrow night.

If there was just one club in sarf London, it would be big.

For population to success rate and potential, Cardiff are by far the biggest under-achievers, but that's cause they are Welsh.

Southampton are another club with a huge population base and historically Brighton are underachievers as well. Plymouth and Hull could do better over the years.

Every time I entertain the idea that we're going to give someone a right proper pasting - we always end up cocking it up big-time. So for this game I'm predicting a comfortable away win for Palace :(
