So, 70p a litre then despite an increase in tax. That's not too shabby.
It's not, no. But it was 25p a litre 10 years ago. UK petrol has not gone up by nearly 300% in 10 years. It makes a big difference here.

Simple answer, we get ripped off for everything.
So we are being ripped off then... recently I was in France and a quick calculation of their petrol was 78 p a litre.
It's worth noting bicycle road tax, insurance and cycle fuel duties have remained at £0.00.
