Indeed. Speaking as someone who was born in Purley and lived in Sanderstead the posher parts of Croydon are very nice indeed. AND it's got a tram system, a flyover and an underpass.

The center of Croydon might be a bit down market although Luton makes it look like Brighton however most of the out lying areas such as Sutton, Shirley or Bromley are not. I think confusion is with SE25 which, although is comes under Croydon Council (along with Norbury I think) is actually in London whilst Croydon is in Surrey.

We take the urine but Moulescombe and Whitehawk are pretty grim and there's noting too great about Portslade and Southwick either.
