I have to say that was worth it, fantastic game. Mainly from the last 10 minutes normal time.

What a day of football. The Euros is such a good tournament because there are upsets and no mug teams in the knockout stages, I think the format has worked well too.

There's players dying on their feet with the effort they've put in and we haven't even reached the quarter-final stage yet.

Do you feel the hype?

I dont. But I'm sure there will be something to say about these games.

Not expecting any upsets today but wouldnt be shocked to see Croatia steal it.

Haven't read the rest of the thread yet, so apologies if i'm about the 100th person to say it but.... You played a blinder there :lolol:

Just goes to show there's no 'easy' route either. Last night was definitely a bit of a reminder to those saying 'if we can just beat the Germans...'

Don’t fancy Belgium then? Whoever comes through that side of the draw will be the favourites by virtue of the path they’ve had to follow but if, and of course it’s a massive IF, we can beat the Germans tomorrow night we will become strong tournament favourites.

That’s not necessarily because we’re better than Belgium, Italy or Spain but because only one of those three can make the final, and then anyone has a puncher’s chance - see Greece 2004.

England are now the second highest ranked team in the tournament - when was the last time we could say that? Genuine question. The sides ranked 1st, 3rd and 4th are all on the other side of the draw.

This is a huge opportunity for England, bigger than three years ago in my opinion. A lot rests on tomorrow. It’s a massive game for so many reasons.
Not sure which exit would be worse ... losing to the old enemy AGAIN or cocking it up against one of the 'lesser' teams in the quarters/ semis. One game at a time Clive ... footballs coming home [emoji106]

I think yesterday may have been peak football, but you never know.

Belgium - Italy is the new final. . .

Anything could happen this evening, not sure I have the energy or desire to even consider it.

Good thing... my beer was unusually cold.

Bad thing... it seems I missed the most exciting football night in a very very long time.

I'll take the positives... tonight will hopefully compensate for a bit of what I missed.

I thought it would be hard to top that bonkers final round of group games the other night when Germany scraped through. Then last night came along.

I honestly cannot remember watching a better night of tournament football, ever. That was absolutely EPIC.

Mbappe has been a disappointment tonight. Will he be the big name who misses one?

Pogba's goal celebration when France went 3-1 up on 75 minutes... that worked out well for him. :rave:
