I've got no beef with Croatia. Great country, play great football, produced an amazing amount of talent for such a small place. Sure, they knocked us out but we deserved it and I don't think they milked it that much. And let's face it, but for them that idiot McClaren might still be in charge today *shudders* I'm sorry they won't be there. Ukraine will add nothing if they make it
I agree entirely.
The funny thing is, countries like Croatia and before them Denmark and a few others, suddenly from a low population base create a great side, but they inevitably grow old together and no-one comes on to keep them in the top rank.
Wales must have had a good side once, back in the late 1950's....

I agree with that - Croatia are usually entertaining to watch and have always had good ball playing midfielders.
I just can't forget the sight of Bilic rolling around the pitch in the 1998 WC semi-final as if he'd been hit by a sniper depriving Laurent Blanc of a world cup final appearance.

Our group turned out to be any 2 of 3 - all of those other games were a waste of time.
It's a shame Croatia aren't there as they usually bring entertainment to a tournament, AND, has been stated above, their fans are now firmly in the Top 10 Best Fans, along with England, Scotland, Ireland, Holland, Denmark, Czech, Japan, Brazil and Argentina.
