Why oh why do we have to endure the awful " Stand up if you hate Palace" chant as at Forest and no doubt tomorrow at Leeds where Dougie Freedman is on loan ??
For goodness sake the club play some 50 miles from Brighton, much the same as Pompey, but they don't get slagged off.
Can't be denied that we've had some good tussles down the years, but like it or not, there have been many happy connections between the clubs, I'm talking here of managers and players to have played or managed there.
Finally, do their supporters chant "Stand up if you hate Brighton"?
I thank you.:bla:

I think the point you miss is that people follow the instructions to stand up when the stewards are insisting you sit down....the "if you hate palace" part is the silver lining...

I'm with the french mistress on this one. Its a SHIT chant, used SOLELY as a tool to wind up the stewards and has absolutely f*** all to do with Palace.

I'm all for the occasional anti-Palace chant, 'Away in a manger', 'Oh we hate palace, and we hate Palace', etc but the 'Stand up...' one is dull and childish, and frankly a complete pain in the arse when people are getting up and down right in front of you every 30 seconds.

I was once chatting up a girl in a bar in South Africa, really fit and I was very drunk. Out of nowhere I was sick all over her. In her face, hair, clothes. Everywhere. I tried to make a joke about it, as you do. Well...girls like a bloke with a sense of humour.

That makes me cringe with embarrassment

And it's a pain in the arse as i am up and down the stairs because certain fans think it's clever.

I would like to maybe see a little bit of the game as well you know!
