Good, excellent, well-written and emotional journalism. Pure class.

Excellent article. Isn't it amazing how much publicity you get for one little Carling Cup win.....

.....but despite articles in The Mail, Guardian and Times, there will STILL be some GRUMPYCHOPS saying it was more important to beat Walsall last Satdi.

Isn't the Mails Sports editor a Seagulls fan?

They certainly seem to be the most enthusiastic about "Big Wednesday" of all the Dailies.

Captured the feel of the club quite well so some of the errors can be forgiven...

Yeah, I was thinking that.

"Little club", "Michael Kuipers", "Doug Loft came through the Albion academy".

I think we can forgive them that.

It's a good piece written by someone with half a clue.

the author is a palace fan.

Just shows how good journalists (despite the abuse they often get on NSC) are professionals who leave their own feelings on one side.

I can confirm that Neil is Palace fan, but he's also a writer of great integrity and I think he'll go far. He's a chief football correspondent in the making.

Funny, Naylor gets SLATED on here for doing the same (or trying to, at least).

Yes but importantly, I reckon his opinions are often miles off from his audience's, because he's seemingly out of touch with it. As a result he oftens acts like he knows better than his public and therefore inevitably ends up patronising it.

He'll need to spend some more time on NSC before he's the finished article.

Some journos spend HOURS here, absorbing our words of wisdom.

;)
