Luke Wright.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
17 is not a bad average for Twenty20. It is very much a hit out or get out game. He has been exceptional for Sussex in Twenty20 and I am sure he will excel for England in the long run. Not only is he in for his fast scoring batting, he can bowl and he is a very good fielder. This is not Test Cricket. He should not be judged solely on some disappointing performances with the bat.

I truly wonder what the coaching/selectors a doing in their respective positions. We have the wrong team, the wrong tactics and fundamentally the wrong captain.

Here we:

Wright- imo should be in at no.4/ no.5 plus try to play shots not slog everything

Collingwood - dropped

Foster- dropped, took what is basically pretty straight forward stumpings off spin bowling (you would hope that any 1st class wicky would take) and looked a novice with the bat.

Broad- needs to take his head out from his arse and bowl/field properly.

Anderson-why? really not for this type of cricket.

KP- try to finish what he starts

Try and get someone who understands the ethos of t20

Weren't Colly looking to Key for advice in the Holland game?
as a captain out of his depth at International level which affects his batting & fielding

9 pages and no moaning about the D/L calculation. Just because none of us understand how to calculate it doesn't mean it must be right. It clearly needs revising for 20/20 and I'd be amazed if it isn't. Set less than half the total with just one over less than the total overs, an extended powerplay and all wickets to play with. It started to become very clear D/L had given England 9 overs to bowl WI out! Couldn't have done much more than 45-5 until finally a 6th wicket pairing put on the 35 required at a fairly routine 20/20rate for just under 4 overs.
