I am working for a couple of days in Crawley and have just gone over to the PCWorld off Manor thing...and apart from a mate who I used to stand with at the Goldstane and Gillingham ( and I see him occasionally at Withers) I can honestly say I have never seen so may pikeys and low life.

Crawley makes Dagenham look like Kensington and Chelsea.

I have to work here week in week out and the place is horrible.

Ther emay be a reasonable brighton fanbase but the majority of football fans in crawley are palace and chelsea.

Yeah, admittedly quite a bit of it isn't great, and some parts are just plain horrible, but I can assure you that not all of the population are pikeys!

I've worked in Crawley, East Grinstead and Horsham in my time and to be honest I'd take Crawley everytime.
Horsham is a bizarre inbred place. The people I worked with in EG spent their time slagging off Crawley, yet their town is a horrible soulless commuter desert.

Yes Crawley has it's fair share of plebs. It's always good for a game of spot the underage single mum. Discount leisure wear is very popular and a trip to Queens square will always reward you with a sighting of a fat Granny in tight leggings.
But it's not up itself, it isn't snobbish and to be honest it's worst bits are no different to moulscomb or whitehawk.

Like all towns cralweey has its ba dand good bits the only thing is most towns have more good than bad, cralwey is very much the reverse. Ther eis a select few areas that ar enice the rest is a terrible shit hole full of chavs and pikeys. I won't nme the ba dor nice areas so as not to offend anyone.

For those of you that don't know Crawley is divided into area's. They were originally designed to be self contained areas with their own parade of shops, pubs, schools churchs etc.

In general the east of the town is nicest. The worst areas are Bewbush and Broadfield which are pretty much sink estates and rather horrid.

Langley Green, known as Langleydesh to locals has a high population of asian residents ands in general is a reasonable working class suburban estate.
