Coppell probably had a panic attack and decided it's all too much for him and he isn't interested/can't give it the committment.....................................

Loss for Forest, they only started to win once he arrived to show Cotterill how to do it.

Coppell is staying at Crawley. Looks like Crawley FC mean business in League 1. Can they seriously compete for the top 6 spots? Who knows, but it is going to be very interesting to watch on the sidelines.

Not with the current restrictions of the Broadfield Stadium (Capacity 5,996) They will hit the same problems we had at the Withdean. The difference being we used to fill Withdean.

Great choice IMO, well done Crawley, better than that **** Evans by a country mile

Don't forget Crawley have been a non league club for about 100 years & a league club for a year!
Their support is growing & the club are targeting the youth in particular. If Stevenage can hold their own in league 1 I am sure Crawley will be ok.

Well raised. My nephew is at school in Crawley & the players have been into the school more than once. Has my lad seen anyone from the club at Hove Park? Nope.

Good on you Crawley. Now that nob Evans has gone I cannot dislike you. Indeed when the Albion are up north next year I'll toddle down.

Thanks Chucky. When we were playing at Withdean & in league 2 & 1 my lad was invariably the only kid in his class to wear an Albion shirt. It takes balls when your team is cack. When you are not far from Premier teams even harder. Definitely uplifting to see the youth in Crawley not just wearing Chelsea shirts.

I think the future for Crawley Town is promising.

One thing where Brighton are pioneers in their field is their 'Albion in the Community scheme'. The club & indeed players are active in schools & other parts of the community. Just because your sons school hasn't had a visit from any players doesn't mean the club aren't actively partaking in this kind of thing. They are. Has the school even made a request to The Albion in the Community scheme?

i hope so, there seems to be a good buzz around the place with regard to the towns football, in the pubs they talk about crawley now and not as much about the prem and west hame etc. I think they are in a good place at the moment and some shrewd business this summer might just seem them doing a Stevenage

Agreed. Can only benefit the Albion too. Sussex on the football map as a serious area for up & coming teams & players. Also the Albion need to loan out players to our nearest club. Playing at league 1 will only improve the peripheral players. Crawley has its knockers but it is a town very much on the up. Compared to Worthing where I work the club is a joke (similar sized population)

Bloody hell! Bit behind the times aren't you? Do you post on the Argus sight as "HoveParkResident" by any chance?

O'Driscoll will do well for Crawley though.................. and Cotterill will struggle without him. Odds on he will be the first Championship manager to lose his job next season?

Coppell as director of football too, looks like they mean business again

Not sure that this is such a good thing as he may wish to influence things to much and thus undermine the manager. I am not sure many managers would like to work under Coppell. He is or was a very good manager, perhaps too good and will want things done his way.
