They'll have to put a bell in the ball

Which means morris dancers will unfortunately have to be BANNED - it'd be too dangerous for them to risk getting a kicking. Sorry Lord B.

It also means that guide dogs will be banned too.

Will that apply just to guide dogs for the blind? Or will it extend to guide dogs for the deaf as well?

Hearing (not guide) dogs for the deaf are more than welcome so they can warn of incoming bat attacks.

Stop winding him up, poor chap. Sydney, the truth, and this is from one of the Withdean Groundstaff, is that all night games will be lit by blue and white striped candles handed to all attendees. If the wind is up, then they they will also be handing out lanterns. It's something to do with the Falmer residents and the hum generated by the lamps or somesuch. There was some rumour that having floodlights a la Withdean or the Goldstone would be a serious distraction for drivers on the Lewes Road.

If the floodlights are going to be solar powered what will the array of wind turbines in the adjoining field be powering?

The candles will only be for home fans. Away supporters will be handed bowls of Ready Brek as they come in so they can provide their own lighting.

I heard there's gonna be a Canopy fitted above the stadium and when the players come out in stead of mascots, they all carry Chinese lanterns and release them at KO. Trouble is they burn off after 45 mins so the redundant mascots now become litter pickers at half-time, then when the players re-emerge they bring fresh lanterns with them!

Anybody else remember the game at the Goldstone when some bright spark climbed up one of the floodlight pylons, can't remember which game it was? Possibly against palace in the 70's.

The most curious thing..
An army of Glow worms secreted in the grass on the pitch is the real answer

together with a huge array of fireflys in the west middle tier

It's environmentally friendly, and most importantly after each game it provides food for the bats
