Opinions aren't wrong that's why there're 'opinions'

Of course opinions can be wrong. The whole "it's my opinion and you can't tell me I'm wrong" argument is complete bollocks. If it was someones opinion that Hitler was right to gas 6million Jews would that be right?

thats decidedly different than saying " Cox is a bit over-rated" though isn't it. I also think Cox is a bit over-rated. Had a very good end of season mind and if he carries on in the same vein then will be a very good player, however went missing for quite a portion of the middle of the season.

I know its decidely different but was using an extreme view to make my point. People can hold opinions but cannot hide behind the argument that an opinion can never be wrong.

Every opinion deserves to be challanged by people who don't agree with it. If someone has an opinion and they believe what they say to be right they should add reasons why they think that, as you have in the case of Dean Cox, rather than just claim "Opinions can't be wrong, thats why they are opinions" it's utter rubbish.

Fair point.

Sake.

He doesn't have an open profile.

However, if that's what he's put on it, then he's a prat of the highest order, regardless of who he thinks might see it. Hardly going to help his career, is it?

Yeh totally agreed.

I hate midfield players who work their nuts off.

And contribute numerous goals and assists.

What an overated player he is

:dunce:

QUOTE=Gareth24;2402123]Well did he do your fella or better yet did he break your heart or say something nasty to you at school.

Ronaldo is overated aswell, he scores and makes goals.

Hes rubbish[/quote]

You really do talk out of you arse don't you

The Fact that you even mention ronaldo and dean cox in the same sentence is laughable... the man has scored 40 goals in one season .Can u name me anyone who thinks he is overated.

As for dean cox a goalscoring midfielder who scores so many goals has 45 games this season and has scored 6 goals thats a goal scoring midfielder.

Don't come in towards the end of a thread and start posting what I say is 'utter rubbish' when you clearly haven't read the previous posts.

The point is, some people think Cox is fantastic and I don't. Somebody posted that my opinion was 'wrong' and my reply to that was it's not wrong it's an opinion of a player, and everybody has different views. So have a look first moron.

Nice name calling, I'm not quite sure why when I started posting in this thread has anything to do with it either, oh and I have read the entire thread too before I made my first post in it.

Now rather than throw your toys out of the pram at the mere suggestion of someone not agreeing with you, go back and read what I wrote.

I never mentioned that you were wrong for holding your opinion of Cox at all, I said you were wrong for suggesting your opinion couldn't be challanged and that the argument an opinion is never wrong was flawed from the very start, people can have different views but they can still be wrong. I used a rather extreme example to make this point and anyone who holds that view is clearly an idiot and people should be checking their cellars for any sign of inprisoned family members.

In the case of Dean Cox fact can point to him being both f***ing brilliant and shockingly average over the course of the last season, so both sides of the argument can make cases for being right and the other wrong. Thats why an opinion can be wrong and can be challenged if you don't agree with it.

Why has this thread been brought back?

Robinson is definetely on the way though. He is getting worse as he plays more, and the 'more time' argument holds no water as he has made nearly 150 appearances. A shame, but he just isn't good enough. Cox, the jury's out.

And you heard that conveniantly just as this thread was revived. And are the two things you've heard connected? Because I can see why Cox or Robinson would be a natural back up goalie.
