Sad to see. He did pretty well with them with all their off field stadium problems. Yes, this season hasn't started well, but I still think they've been a bit hasty.

There's more to this than meets the eye, like you say, tapped up?

6 months ago he got them to within a pubes width of the FA Cup Final. They're not storming it this season, but they're only 7 points off the playoffs, which in a 46 game season is nothing.

Joke of a decision. If I was a Cov fan, I'd be going APESHIT.

He had a mini rant at the fans a few weeks ago

"People have got to stick behind the players," Robins told BBC CWR. "You can see the bewilderment on the faces of the players. They can't handle the criticism.

"A lot of our fans are brilliant. But there's one or two in the crowd shouting on. That's fine. Shout on all you want but support your team. Support the players."

Lee Carsley lives 6 miles away in Kenilworth and has managed Cov on a caretaker basis twice before.

This says to me the chairman is jumping now to get Carsley in before he goes elsewhere.

Something must have happened behind the scenes.

However I'm always hesitant to start shouting "how could they after all (manager X) has done for (club Y)!!" without knowing the details.

We received enough of that when Hughton was sacked, and look what's happened since.
Yep, I was going to post something similar earlier on. There are loads of examples of outrage towards owners who get rid of a seemingly popular manager, only for their replacement to be much better.

The best current example is Notts Forest. Whoever saw Nuno getting them to top 10, let alone top four?! Steve WHO?

Not necessarily the case. There had been talk of his job being on the line for weeks
Pretty much this,, plus at the end of the day for whatever reasons, Coventry are near the foot of the table. Football is a results based business.

With the managerial merry go round the way it is, l'm sure Mark Robins can't be too surprised.
