News from Coventry re.JPT Trophy Northern Area Final.

1st leg of Area Final due to be played Tuesday next week (5/2/13) v Crewe
2nd leg is w/c 18/2/13 & Grand Final at Wembley on Sunday 7th April.

Ground capacity @ Ricoh = 32000 approx.

Tickets went on sale for 1st leg about a week or so ago, priced at £5 each.

I can report that Cov. have SOLD OUT their stadium for the first time since playing Chelsea in the FA Cup in 2009. What a difference reducing the ticket prices for minor cup competition can do.

It will be interesting to see how many will return for the next few league games, once the euphoria of a trip to Wembley dies down (assuming they beat Crewe, that is). Average attendances this season for League 1 games is just short of 11000.

Same place as our stay away fans when we had 5000 average at withdean.

It's all relative mark. You are doing well people will come and see you, you don't they stay away.

Good on them. I reckon more teams struggling to fill large stadia should try it.
