This is isn't a full coup in my opinion, nor of those old acquaintances I've spoken to in Botswana about it. Mugabe would be already gone now if it was. Ignatius Chombo, the finance minister and ally of Grace is under arrest - because that's their target - her and the G40 faction of ZANU-PF. There's already reports she's about to go into exile.

Now being reported Robert Mugabe is negotiating a safe passage for his charming wife Grace out of the country, then will finally step down as President himself. The ZANU PF Twitter account is already hailing the new Comrade leader - former VP Emmerson Mnangagwa, who is now back in the country.

Reports suggest The Zimbabwean Republican Police Commissioner, who was pro-Mugabe and various journalists who ran stories against the apparent new leader are also now under arrest. The army have also taken over the main police armoury in Harare. This is looking potentially a relatively very orderly and seamless transition of power.
